How it Happens

Nobody ever said that face-painting is only for kids parties - and if they did, they haven't met us. We bring this awesome service to any event and liven it up - adults love it too. The pre-party begins 10 minutes before go-time, with our face-painter arriving early to go over the day's schedule with you and to greet the birthday child.

  • Professional face-painting
  • 1 Hr of fun face-painting
  • For up to 12 children per hour(add 30 mins for every additional 6 kids)

To ensure maximum comfort for face-painting in Los Angeles, we recommend a nice shady spot. Our artists wave their magic bristled wand over 12 little faces per hour so if you have more children at your party, an additional 30 minutes for every 6 extra kids should do the trick.

Popular face-painting designs Bazinga‘s artists can paint include unicorns, dogs, butterflies, dinosaurs, flowers, princesses, superhero’s and mermaids. Have something specific in mind? Just let us know when booking.

Need face-painters for full-day corporate function, or a fabulous, Family-fun event? Get in touch with us as there are discounted day-rates and special prices for multiple entertainers at large events.

What to Expect

We keep it simple. You book, we show up, the kids go wild. Here's exactly how it works from booking to the last brushstroke.

  1. Book Online in Seconds

Select face-painting in the booking form, choose your date and time, pick your payment type (invoice or card). We will check the details and send you a booking confirmation.

  2. We Arrive 10 Minutes Early

Your painter arrives ahead of schedule to set up, say hello to the birthday child, and discuss any special requests with the party host.

  3. The Kids Choose Their Design

We bring a face-painting menu of around 20 options. Children pick their favourite — or go freestyle. Every child gets their moment.

  4. Pack Up and Leave

We leave the venue exactly as we found it. No mess, no fuss. Just a party full of tiny painted faces and big smiles.

Quick Tip: You'll need a small table and 2 chairs available for your face painter — they don't travel with their own. If painting outdoors, a shaded area works best. That's it.

A seamless experience from start to finish. I contacted the team one week before my daughter's birthday party and the Bazinga team did not disappoint. My daughter had a magical Unicorn themed party, with the most beautiful face painter, and, Mum got to relax! I will definitely be using Bazinga for her parties going forward.

Some FAQ's

How far in advance should I book my face-painting in Los Angeles?

We recommend booking your LA face painter 3 to 4 weeks ahead, especially for weekend parties. Spring (March through May) and fall (September through November) are our busiest stretches — perfect outdoor weather has everyone celebrating in the backyard at the same time. Summer slows down a touch as parties move indoors to escape the heat, and LA’s mild winters mean we’re painting faces year-round. For weekday parties or shorter-notice bookings, 1 to 2 weeks is usually plenty. Holiday weekends — Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day — book out the fastest, so 4 to 6 weeks ahead is the safer call for those. Last-minute parties are always worth a try. Whether you’re celebrating in Beverly Hills, Pasadena, Santa Monica or anywhere across Greater LA, give us a text or call and we’ll line up a face painter for your big day.Read more..

How many faces can one artist paint per hour?

Our Miami face painters get through around 10–15 faces per hour, depending on the designs. Simple hearts, rainbows and superhero masks are quick; full-face tigers, butterflies and princess crowns take a little longer. For parties with more than 12 kids, we recommend booking 1.5 hours, or adding 30 minutes for every additional 6 children. Not sure? Send us a quick message with your guest count and we'll tell you exactly what you need.Read more..

What if a child doesn’t want their face painted?

No problem at all. Some kids, especially younger ones, are a bit nervous about having their face painted — so our face painters are happy to paint small designs on the back of a hand, on an arm, or even “jewellery” designs around the wrist instead. Every child gets their moment one way or another. Just let the face painter know on the day, or mention it at booking if there’s a specific child you’d like us to go gentle with.Read more..

Are the face paints safe for children?

Yes. We use professional, water-based, hypoallergenic face paints from trusted brands including Snazaroo, Wolfe FX and FX — all dermatologically tested and certified safe for use on children’s skin. Paints come off easily with a wet wipe, or warm water and soap. If a child has particularly sensitive skin or known allergies, just let us know at booking and we’ll take extra care or do a small patch test before the session.Read more..

Can the face painter match my party theme?

Yes, and we can go more detailed with face painting than with most services. Whether it’s Frozen, Spider-Man, princess, unicorn, dinosaur, jungle safari, pirates or something more specific, tell us your theme at booking and we’ll brief the face painter in advance. For complex or custom themes, a bit more notice is helpful so the artist can prep reference designs and the right colour palette. The more you tell us, the more they can tailor their design menu to the vibe of your party.Read more..

How do I get the face paint off at the end of the day?

Easily. Our face paints are water-based (not oil-based), so they come off with a wet wipe, or warm water and a bit of soap — no scrubbing needed. Most parents do it at bath time and it rinses right off. If any colour lingers on sensitive skin, a second wipe with a little soap does the trick. The paint won’t stain pillows or clothes as long as it’s been properly dried during the party.Read more..

Can I combine face painting with other entertainment?

Absolutely — it's one of our most popular setups. Our Active Party package pairs face painting with balloon art or party games, run by the same entertainer across a 90-minute slot. The Complete Party rolls all three into a single session. One entertainer running everything keeps the party flowing and works out noticeably cheaper than booking each service separately.Read more..

What do I need to provide at my Los Angeles venue?

Just a small table and two chairs — that’s all. Your face painter brings everything else: paints, brushes, a design menu, and a cheerful attitude. If you’re hosting outdoors, a shaded or sheltered area works best so the paint doesn’t dry too fast in direct sun and the kids aren’t squinting. We handle the rest.Read more..

What happens if my outdoor party gets rained out?

Los Angeles weather being what it is — if an outdoor party gets rained out on the day, we’ll happily reschedule your booking at no extra charge. We know how much planning goes into a kids’ birthday, and we’d rather move the date than have your little guests huddled under a soggy gazebo. What age is face painting suitable for?

Face painting is a hit with kids aged 3 and up. For younger toddlers (1–2 years), children can sometimes be shy or fidgety which makes a full face painting tricky, but our painters are experienced with nervous little ones and will always work at the child’s pace. For very young parties, hand or arm painting is usually the better call — and balloon art tends to work brilliantly for any age group.Read more..
